Need info on guys who has bought 3" - 4" cowl hoods for 3rd gen camaros?

Im in a process of fixing the body up in my 92' camaro. I thought about getting a SS hood, but id prefer, a cowl instead. My question is, anyone know of a company, that sells 3"-4" cowl hoods for a cheap price, i once made the biggest mistake in my life, by mistake i bought a 4" inch cowl hood(fiberglass)from HARWOOD, and it was the lift off design, and going at 50mph the hood felt like it was gonna fly open. Bascially what i need is a 3"-4" fiberglass cowl hood, with hatch, NOT lift off design, that needs no modifications to install, wanna hear something even funnier, i paid $425.00 for the HARWOOD hood, please help me find a cheaper.

Glasstek 4" on my 84. Great fit and haven't had any problems. Cost around $400. I'm just too lazy to look up the phone number right now, but it's on my webpage under modifications and statistics. They are located in Naperville and as far as I know they still don't have a website. Hope this will help you out a bit.

i'd like to find a 2-3 inch cowl hood same as he described as not being the lift off type that goes more with the slope of my 91's hood, the ones i have seen are good looking up front but shoot up in the rear....

Glasstek all the way! No, they still don't have a web site , but their stuff is top notch. I also have the 4 in cowl bolt on ~$400. Fit perfect. Pics of it are on my page.

It's the same hood as on Nick Scavo's car.

i normally don't really like big cowl hoods, but i must say, that 4 inch cowl looks extremely bad *** . i like what's under it too lol what kinda gas milage you get in that thing?

mpg is 8-10 when cruising and much less when getting on it.

I wanted a smaller cowl, but this actually rubs slightly the way it is. I have a dual plane intake (performer rpm), 1 inch 4 hole spacer, 1 1/2 drop base air cleaner & a 4 inch K&N filter = 4 inch cowl.
