Half of the speedo lights are out!

On a trip to Talahassee today the left haft of my speedo went dim. This has been happening for about a month now but usually if I just give it a good tap or two it lights back up. But this time it didn't. From 110 to 80 it's as bright as it's ever been but from there down it gradually dims into no light at all. Before I could get home the needle wasn't lit either. What could be the problem? Is there just a light burnt out in there or a bad connection or what? Also everytime I get in the car it takes about 5 minutes for the air conditioner to start working and I've never had a problem with it either. If I put the pedal to the floor the ac will come to life. Who know what my problem could be?

I'm not A/C guy,, but you need to change the bulbs.

(I almost started to explain why the bulbs do that but decided not to bore you to death )

The bulbs are difinetely burned out and need to be replaced. Had same prob in both my cars when just bought them.

About the AC, isn't that noraml for it to have to warm up a bit before giving out really cold air. Also if you up the rpms the belt spins the compressor faster and thats prolly why your AC comes to life when you jam the gas. I could be wrong on this since I took out my AC as soon as I got the car

Ok, does anybody know which light I need? Is there a part number or anything? And the ac wont work at all for a few minutes or until I floor it. I guess I'll go get it check out unless I can figure it out on my own. Anybody else got any help for me?

I would advise you to replace the bulbs in your cluster with xenon bulbs from McEwen (I prefer the clear type, but colored are available). They're much brighter.
