The following info is from VFN fiberglass and Harwood. Fiberglass doors weigh 12 pounds each for 82-92 f-bodies. They use the stock hinges and GM latch. You CAN NOT use any glass window (too heavy) or regulator. Only lexan sliding windows which you would have to design the sliding track.
Much more interesting is the one piece front end, which replaces both fenders w/gfx and front bumper and weighs only 16 pounds but then you have to worry about someone hitting your bumper while they are trying to parallel park and cracking it.
To save weight your best bet it to get a pin on hood which only weighs 12 pounds or the bolt on which weighs 25 pounds. Too really save weight replace your rear hatch glass with lexan (available at VFN) but it won't be DOT legal in the US, don't know about Germany and Do you really want to remove any more weight from the rear of our cars? The weight really has to come off the front for a more balanced machine.
Sorry I don't have any pictures, but I hope some of this helped.

You might want to put a cage in with the glass doors or your gonna have what ever hits you from the side in you lap. Also, It's better to fabricate a frame for the top of the window---unless you like doing U turns to retreive your windows(contact a chassis shop they'll know what you want.

Thank you Nightcruzer.....looking at your posts you are into plastik big time...lol!
The window channels or window hardware isn´t the problem !
I just wondering how the inside side of the doors is designed ...Doorhandle?
After cutting several fbodys for parts , i can tell you the wimpy doorbar is not a think to trust! I rather trust the sidebars of my cage!
I will upload a pic of a 123 benz running into my friends firebird passenger door...!
Any weight data for a stock nonpower door?
After the stock iron engine, rearhatch and caddy grandpa luxury stuff i guess the doors come third!
anybody with the gt notchback? how heavy?
K1 Styling somebody in here that got the kit or inside kit? Did someone saw there attak on the show?
Is harwood after reading about woobble hoods all the time a source to buy doors from?

Hey Nightcruzer,
Why do you think showcars-bodyparts looks shady? I sent them over a $1000 to make me a hatch and wing....... that was back in December. I still have not yet received my stuff and the guy is giving me the run around. I call him 4 times a week! Just wanted to ask you why it looks shady, wish I would have known this before I sent the money. Mike

Lexussc94,
I only said they seemed shady because I spend a lot of time on "kit" car websites and an administrator of one of those sites, calls "kit" companies by phone to ask a few basic questions to "feel" them out and then posts basic reviews on the site. The company doesn't respond to his phone calls, hence the "shady" rating. Don't panic yet as I have no specific info, and is only based on non-returned phone calls to a web site administrator. As for the "England" thing, my bad, as I visited the site and saw the writing in "Queen's English" and jumped to a wrong conclusion.
German, I have a picture from their catalog of the inside of a '69 camaro door. I'll scan it and post it. As for a stock non power door and nothcback weight, I'll see what I find.

Screw the individual parts, You wanted light weight right? and I am always looking right? Well I guess if you know how fabricate your own tube chassis, this would be the ultimate in light weight. http://hotrodssuperstore.com/1919cambrfib1.html

If you go back up, VFN lists on their price sheet part# H3161P 82-92 Firebird stock flat hood W/ headlight doors (not cut out) pin on 12 pounds shipped by truck $252.
I couldn't find an official weight for the stock doors, but I removed my power window, manual lock doors when I painted the entire car, and I feel a very good guess would be around 80 lbs w/glass and motor.
