I drive a 1991 GTA which has a decent amount of interior lights. I was wondering if all third gen birds shared my lighting options and if the Camaros did too.

Basically, I have the lighted rear view mirror which has driver/passenger reading lights. It also has a small light that shines down onto my center console which is always on when the headlights are on.

I also have a little amber colored light that is above my HVAC controls. Bascially, it shines down towards the HVAC controls and ash tray area.

So, what other F-bods have these lighting schemes?

I have lights near the kick panels in the front, the 2 map lights on the mirror, one dome light, one light that shines on the dimmer switch and headlight switch, and the light over the hvac controls.

I want to add some lights in the back seat area so that I can see back there when it's dark.

Ok let me think here. I have the mirror lights, and the light for the headlight switch. There is also a set of lights in both of my rear sailpanels. This is a convertible though. The lights in the back seat are just below the little armrests. They have the same lenses as the trunk light.
If I remember correctly this is the same as the light that was in my 92RS in the cargo area. These put out a lot of light. They light up the whole interior when they are on. They only come on when the round switch is turned on. They stay off if I turn on the mirror lights. I'm also assuming they use the same bulbs as the cargo area lights.

I've got one at each kick panel, two on the overhead console (dome light & map light). I bought a 4th-gen mirror with the reading lamps to lighten it up a bit. If I ever get around to it I was going to cut little notches in the door panel near the back so I have lights for the rear seats... I'd probably use a lense similar to the one in the hatch area.

On my 84 TA (which I just finished the entire interior) there is one light by each kick panel, a dome light.
NON courtesy: rear hatch area light (goes on when hatch is open or can be switched on), light for shifter position, 2 map lights L&R, AC light, ash tray light and glove box light. Plus of course all the dash lights and the rear defroster switch has a light that goes on when pressed.
Non stock: lighted cigarette lighter

Mine only came with a dome light, map lights, and a ashtray light that is mounted next to the map lights in the rear view mirror.

Jim 86 Bird, I believe he is talking about the 3rd light that is on the bottom of the rearview mirror. My 91 Firebird has it too also the bulb inside recently burnt. It's a looks like a little slot on the bottom of the mirror towards the inner passenger's side and projects light down onto the center console.
