I do know that the 4th gen window controls work in 3rd gens. That is what I am using.
I'd like to know about the motors too, my windows take forever to roll down, makes it hard to talk to chicks when you are cruising and need to roll down the window.

My battery went deaed last week so i replaced my 720 amp battery with a higher amp cranking power, 1000. This made a significant difference in window speed...

you know, true car nuts actually worry about window speed?

I wonder as well if the 4th gen window motors are any faster than the 3rd gens. I bought the control module for the express down switch in the 4th gens but have not yet installed it. The power window in my wifes Ford Windstar kick *** im always playing with it. Its so fast in the drive thru and you dont get wet when its raining out.

Hey, have you figured out the wiring yet? I got one from a bone yard, but so far, have had no luck in getting it to work. Apparently wiring-up electronics is not my strong suit

...and you're point is what, that the original poster is dead or something? Maybe he actually got around to installing the module and can help...unlike other people on this board...

My point is that the person you were asking has only posted SEVEN times since 2003. The chances of him reading this thread are pretty low. You might want to email him directly instead of dragging-up an ancient thread.

Plus, you never know-- he might be dead.

4th gen motors will not work... sorry.... they mount totally different.... now if you wanted to swap the whole regulator assembly, I have heard that it is possible.... I will contact my friend at the dealer and ask...

I'm not sure why you would want to...the window motors in fourth gens are just as bad (replaced the drivers side in my 95 at about 55k, pass side around 90k). The later ones may be a little better (my 97 has 60k with no slowing at all), but they're bo no means fast. The fastest windows I have ever seen were on my ex-father inlaw's 93 Dodge truck; at least twice as fast as any car I have ever seen.
I remember seeing a post about Saturn window switches that had the express down built into the switch, and were a direct replacement (at least for thirdgen birds), but have yet to find any in the salvage yard.
