6X6 rust hole

Just found hole when cleaning under the car. How can I fix it without welding? I want it to be a strong repair but dont want to mess with the fuel lines.

You can rivet a panel over the hole, but that's not going to prevent the hole from continuing to rust.

Have a friend with a Datsun 260Z (hey its not mine). His floor panels were Gone, I mean GONE. He got some Fiberglass, a little resin, & hardner, and coated that sucker. Put the carpet back down after it dried, and you would never know. He did a larger area than the rust, essentially he did all of the fllorboard in the interior. But it is going on about 4 or 5 years and it still works.

I think he did 2 or 3 coats of fiberglass.

J.B. weld some sheet metal on there.
I know someone who sealed a crack in a engine block with that stuff. Its like weld in a tube.

man, don't do any of that! cut out all the rust, and prime/paint any bare metal... then weld in a new piece of sheetmetal, rent a MIG or something, its the best and only way to go, unless you want to put new floor pans in...
