One BRILLIANT idea after another

Hey guys I search this board all the time just as much as the tech board because you are the most creative guys on Thirdgen. So my subject brings up the point that I want to see some of your crazy modifications.. ideas.. and anything really different that you guys have done. Even idea's that you might just be throwing around in your head. I think if we got them all in one post it would be a great reference and even make an amazing tech article of just different stuff you can do. Its a great help to the ones of us who are still in the beginning stages of customizing our cars and i think this subject could go on and on. So feel to post some pics!!!

Matt

I came up with a BRILLIANT idea a while ago. I've got an 92 RS with an auto tranny. I HATE the way they made the letters and numbers in the gauges and shift indicator yellow and orange. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had some electroluminescent tape from a project I did a before, and I had the inverter. I cut the lightbulb out of the shift indicator thing, and wired up the EL inverter, then stuck the EL tape to the yellow plastic that glides under the numbers. I put some purple overlay tape over the EL tape, and cut out the overlay tape where the gear selection is, and I got something that looks like this:

cut and paste that into the address bar. It glows real nice when the lights are on, and it doesnt look pink like it does in the pic. I am going to be selling a kit with all the necessary parts to make one just like mine. The available colors will be:

Hot Pink
Tropical Lime
Plum Crazy
Exotic Blue
Electric Yellow
Wild Turquoise
Amber Glow

and combos of colors would be possible, too. I'm estimating that the kit will be about 30 bucks, and it will include a very detailed install sheet, and possibly even a video of me installing it on my car. Sound good?

i think someone on here is attempting to put together a book or something, and will have pictures ranging from stock looks, simple upgrades like 4th gen seats, and more extensive mods.
