Can you explain what these are? 90-92 high rise

About to buy this off a friend, I would like to know what these holes are for exactly, I remember reading that 6 holes are required I'm counting 2 per post, and one on each end totalling 6 studs, so what are these for? These are the ends of the spoiler what are the square holes for?

There use to be 2 little metal tabs on there.. There would be 1 screw on each side that went through the deck lid and into the metal square clips that slid over the edge of the spoiler in the square holes..they were similar to the clips that the fender attaches to.

Not really,it will still mount and bolt down just fine...if you pull up hard on the wing after it's bolted down the front will lift a little but nothing major..I would put some sealer or a small piece of windshield ribbon around your bolt holes and tighten it down..snug it down real good but don't try cranking down on the bolts too hard because you could break the studs off of it..should be good to go.

Um, no, no, and no.

Those holes are for the GASKETS. The gaskets have a hook that goes up and pushes forward to lock them to the end of the spoiler. Then the rear of the gasket goes over the stud. There is only one hole in the gasket for the stud and the rest is solid and smooth.

There is no clip and there is no bolt there. If there is on your car, then someone did something screwy in the past and lost some parts. If it were factory and you could prove it, then I'd believe you.

well,Idk..heres a pic of mine..was done a couple years ago..I removed the hatch and spoiler when I painted it and I don't believe the wing had ever been off before because when I took it off the very brittle gaskets crumbled..and also notice, there are a total of 8 holes in the deck lid..There were 2 very rusty clips on the front in that square opening..that much I am very sure of..

Ok so they're for the gaskets that are unobtainable at this point??

I only plan to drill the 6 holes but I still need a solution for the gasket
