please read quick and help me!!!!!

i bought a new steering wheel and i've got the old one off but after i took the nut off i thought it would just slide off but there is something still holdin that part that the wheel screws into.if you know what it is tell me and how to get it off.

that was a little confusing! when I got my steering wheel I had to buy a couple of things to get the new steering wheel on. I don't know the names of the tools but the first one is used to take the old steering wheel off. you can get it at any auto store that sells steering wheels. for me though the bolts that the tools came with didn't fit my car so I had to use my brain a litle and about 5 hours later I had the old steering wheel off. Then I had to buy an adapter to put the new steering wheel on. that parts was easy. Hope that helps you some what.
