might sound silly, make sure the door is not locked.

I have a parts car that was in a wreck, looks like it had an arguement with either a tree or some sort of post. The driver door will not open, its jammed shut. the passenger door will not close...

Sorry, I can't do better than that without being there...

John

What I think hapened is when you were adjusting the door while putting it back on the car, you angled it either too low or too high. This will make the door hard to close and hard to open because the lock mechanism is jammed onto that post thing that the latch goes on to. Maybe you can try ramming it open from the inside with your shoulder or pushing the door down or up to loosen it a little.

If I read his post right, he has yet to install the new door...

Cut that thing out of there with a cutting wheel or… . Well you probably can’t take off the door panel since the door is closed. If you have another door panel, rip up the one that is on their make sure the latch is not locked on the door and from the inside kick it until is opens.

Why not repair the hinges? Then put the original door back on?The original door has "index bolt holes" that should align the door perfectly.
Thanx,ANDYZ28

Don't know how well this will work on a Camaro, but it is worth a try. I replaced the hinge on my old '84 Marquis. When I put the new hinge on, I left the bolts loose, then closed the door, which aligned the door. I then opened the doo VERY slowly and carefully and tightened the bolts on the hinge.
