Re: heavily scratched t top help

upon closer inspection its not scratches it looks like hundreds of little cracks .

not deep though .

i assume these roofs have a sprayed on tint applied to them .

looks like that is all cracking

can this be removed and reapplied

think i may just colour code the roof but unsure if it will look ok

Re: heavily scratched t top help

These are the lexan pieces, yes? Earlier models got glass roofs.
The cracking and crazing is in the lexan , not much you can do about it except paint them.
Many people replace the lexan with the glass ones. Direct fit replacement.

Re: heavily scratched t top help

IF the polishing them back out doesn't work, I sanded mine down with 1000 grit and then used Sems trim paint on them. They match the headlight buckets perfectly, are easily touched up, and look great!

Re: heavily scratched t top help

Since thee are the lezan ones you could sand the scratches out with finer and finer grit sandpaper then polished them out, or forget the polish and clear coat them with a UV protectent paint

Re: heavily scratched t top help

He said they aren't just scratched, started crazing too. Can't sand that out. Personally I'd junk them and get glass ones, but otherwise paint them body color. Prob have to do both sides .
