Help wipers!

I just replaced my wiper motor on my 82 camaro, and I'm still facing the same problem. My driver side blade is sweeping too far onto my pillar. My blades keep breaking and is becoming an expensive problem. I've tried the adjustment under the cowl and all it does is adjust park. How can I adjust sweep, please help

Re: Help wipers!

Is there any looseness/play in the linkages? Or perhaps the wrong length of wiper blade on the car?

Re: Help wipers!

There is a little play in linkage, maybe motor too, but brand new motor. I've thought about length of blades. And I think I have another linkage.. I can try installing new one?

Turn wipers off, remove the wiper arm and relocate it to the proper seat.

What do you mean by relocate? If you mean "move back a couple of splines" that does not work on my setup. I have notches where wipers HAVE to be. Only adjustment is is right where motor hooks to arms

Manta..the driver side only goes on one way..no way to get it out of place..sounds like the blades are too long or the arm itself is bent..blade should be 18 inches I believe..if it is the right length, inspect your wiper arm and see if it's bent anywhere and either bend it back where it should be or replace it.

I bent the arm, and I made driver side sit like it needs to. It parks lower than passenger, but at this point I don't really care. I have another set of arms with sprayers attached so I'll try those and see how they line up

Re: Help wipers!

Try adjusting the arm at the top (when it stops past the pillar).
