How's it going everyone. I was wondering if anyone has CNC'd any hood louvers out of aluminum. If so, what was the price tag?

I'd be interested in this. Especially ones that are slotted for heat extraction.

Making function hood louvres would be a perfect project for a 3D printer.

How are they mounted? Was the hood modified?

Um, so why are we not reproducing these in the masses. I'll take a set NOW! Better than the $400+ for original used louvers. Damn those look wicked. I don't want to remove the stock louvers from my IROC hood to put on my Daytona Hood, so I'm opting for a new set or used set. This sounds more than perfect and more along the lines of what I'd really want.

If we can get these with the stock mounting points, I'll freaking love you. So what, we getting these made guys. Hook us up with your connect. Maybe even get the price down? Maybe a refund for you? I don't know, but I'm really heavily interested.

I'd be interested in a pair. Probably wouldn't be the best idea for me running a carb setup with top mount air cleaner. I occasionally get caught in rain.

Maybe we could go for a regular set first, this way more poeple could jump on board without problems. I hope we can get something setup.

I'd really like to figure out a way to get these made. Anyone have a shop willing to try this?

I know we all got side tracked by that other thread, but did anything ever come of having those louvers in the post above made?

Re: CNC IROC hood louvers. Has anyone done them?

I'm surprised he hasn't posted in here yet, but there is a new TGO member that is making functional louvers. Krio I think is his username. They look awesome, but a bit outta my price range at around 250-300 for a set, IIRC. That, and I've also got an open air cleaner on a carb, which I drive all summer long rain or shine

Low profile smooth finish

correct 16 blade design

Under hood shot - left looks closed only because of camera angle

Hi - sorry I didn't realize this thread existed. I have new louvers available at www.camarolouvers.com Lots of pics and info and a few options.
