Rear window louver help
So I have the original Craigar louvers on my low mile 84 Trans Am. I bought the same type or style of louvers (wrap around aluminum style) from a parts car a few yrs back knowing someday I would add another 3rd gen to my collection. Well I bought an 85 a few days ago and went to storage and pulled out the 2nd set of louvers and all the parts. It seems that I am missing 2 screw deals that lock them. These screws are odd as they are cut, so you put them in place and do a half turn so they latch onto a pin on the underside........
Anyone have a set of these louvers that are not made by craigar? Anyone have any of the extra hardware???? Or know the brand??? Sorry if this is confusing......my gray 84 pictured has the craigars, the ones out on the ground are a diff brand.....that I need to find the weird screws for. Or if anyone has a good set they want to sell???

I would try these. They seem to be close to the OEM Dezus Fasteners. Best bet would be to measure the length of them with a digital caliper. They are only like $10. Great for all your junk yard 36MM sway bar hunting as well lol.

The brand is GM. I seen your facebook post/That was me who responded.

Ok, did some digging through so old threads I was part of. There is this website called
kurveygirl that has a ton of dezus fasteners. They did at one point have the allen key version, but now I can only find the flat head style.
Here is the old thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...imensions.html
Hope this helps.

That bracket in post 1 is of a factory GM bracket. Those are the ones that people are looking for and can't find. As was mentioned, if you're only missing the dzus screw, keep looking, as the louvers with the brackets have become valuable to 3rd gen owners.

Re: Rear window louver help
I ordered the 35 and 45 from Kurveygirl as I didn't know which ones I needed (I have 5 of the 6 brackets and only 2 of the original 1/4 turn fasteners).
The 35 are too short and the 45 seem they might be the right length but they don't go over the springs that are on the factory brackets (original fasteners are bigger).
I was thinking of putting on some of the smaller springs on the factory hardware but then I decided to stop and see if I could get a bigger fastener somewhere else.
Unfortunately finding the bigger fasteners hasn't happened yet.
