Hey, I just got a 1991 v6 3.1L Firebird with nothing done to it at all and was wondering where I should look for some Trans Am parts to put on?

Welcome to the boards, Im a big fan of the 91 92 shape Firebird. What is it your looking for exactly? I'm guessing GFX bodykit, wheels, that type of thing? I live in the UK and there aren't many in breakers yards over here with 3rd gens in,and what there is available is expensive. So i've resorted to googling, amazon, ebay and had good results, there's quite a few small companies in the US breaking 3rd gens and shipping used parts worldwide.

 

If your car has the aero kit, you'll only need the rear areowing an glass trim, plus crosslace wheels to make it "look" like a TA.

 

Tail lights also. Any plans for an engine swap.. A V8 engine swap?

Yes, at the top of the list for mods, thinking about just turning into a trans am.

 

Yeah, without the gfx the car looks pretty weird honestly. The stock wheels aren't that bad and are not as much of a priority as a v8 swap and gfx.

 

You could make it look like a formula, that would be a lot easier. Just a hood and rear wing.

 

91-92 Formulas looked great. Didn't have the goofy black bumper pads like the 87-90s did, I actually prefer the newer nose also.Easier to go that route.

 

I was going to suggest the same thing. More Firebirds rolled off the line WITH the aero than without, contrary to other years, so you kind of have a unique car to begin with. For just the outside you would need all the urethane parts, plus the metal brackets that are welded to the rockers to put the side skirts on the car and would be drilling lots of holes in the fenders and quarters. In addition to the parts everyone else mentioned

But if you insist on converting it, I would definitely be interested in your front and rear bumper covers
