97+ Console

I am looking on the "Speed Automotive" site and I noticed that they have the 97+ Console for $100. Does anyone have any experience w/ this company? All the consoles are used, so what's the quality of them? Is $100 a good deal? (seems like it)...
Also, I have an Automatic, so I need the Manual 6 speed 97+ Console. Is the 6speed diagram on the console a sticker or is it made into the vinyl? Would anyone know the dimensions of it?

Thanks for your help!!!

This is a speed automotive $100 97+ Center Console, I am VERY happy with them, the seats are from them too....and also the rims on my car. Scott there is a nice guy and helpfull. I was very happy with my console. $100 isnt bad I dont think.

The 6 speed layout thing is only like 1 inch wide by maybe 1/2 inch tall near the upper left hand corner of the shifter boot. I just left mine on. Its some kind of plastic and its on pretty good, probobly glued. Just leave it I say!

86FyrBrd, thanks for the pics and info. I know I am gettin' a '97+ console and those seats rock. I hope to get that style sometime soon (now that my car is in pieces)...

I'm also thinking about getting one. One question: are there multiple colors, or are they all a medium/dark gray like yours FyrByrd? I'm specifically looking for a dark one for my black interior...

I know the T/A seats come in Dark Grey (My color) and charcoal I think it is called, which is Black. They are rare but you can find white ones too...I figure the consoles come in grey and lack too.

the black one looks more boxy, i would like to know the difference between 97+ Camaro and 97+ Firebird, i like 86FyrBrd cuase its nice and contoury, i would like it in black though. i was gonig to start building a custom console next week, but i think i am going 4th gen and build a custom pod, since i have a camaro.

Nice looking console.

I'm tempted to get one of these 97+ consoles for my 5spd manual 87' firebird. Anything to watch out for when I go to the wrecking yard?

Do the 4thgen consoles bolt into the thirdgens using the stock floor brackets?

Here is my little setup,

I bought the auto console locally for $75 from a junkyard, I believe it came from a Camaro since there were a lot of them at the yard and the console wasn't bolted into a car, it was sitting in the back of a camaro that had it's own console still in it.

I bought the 6 speed plate for $45 from a dude on LS1.com and sold my Auto plate for $25 on ebay.
