Re: Wrecked my 91 rs but I have an 87 z28 parts car how will this work out?
Sorry to see that, but glad you're okay! I sold a car just like that, same year to someone in Indiana back in 2002. Brings back memories.
In addition to front bumper, impact bar, hood and headlights, looks like it's going to need a front core support judging by the position of that pole. Hard to tell about the rest. Do you have any other pictures? It will be a ton more work if any of the passenger or driver's side subframes are bent.

I have a 91 RS that's been stripped out. Has the parts you need, other than the hood. Not sure where you're located, but I'd take $200 for the car. I'm in Iowa

Yeah the subframes are bent that's why I'm wondering if the 87 has the same subframes

I would definitely be interested but I am in Oklahoma so it would definitely be a process to get it here
Re: Wrecked my 91 rs but I have an 87 z28 parts car how will this work out?
This is the parts car I have it's a lil rough but all I'm worried about is the frame, crash bar, panels, etc and I'm obviously going to have to paint it. So I think it would be fine with that I'm just worried about the placement of stuff in the engine bay because I noticed some things are in different places

It'd probably be easier to build the car that hasn't been wrecked, and use the wrecked car as the donor. If you've got a really good reason to fix the wrecked car, all the stamped steel 82-92 is close enough that you should be able to make it work, but it'd have to be a really good reason.

100% agree with Drew. Yes, the underbody components of the 87 and the 91’ are the same, but there is no subframe. It’s a welded unibody. You could drill out the spot welds and transfer the unibody structure over, but there is probably more damage on the wrecked car than is visible. It would need to go on a frame machine first and likely will need some pulls to get the overall unibody straight. After the unibody is true, then you can start replacing the bent unibody parts. It’s a lot of work and may not be worth it. May be better off finding a good shell and transferring all of your good parts over.

Well my main reason I want to fix it is because my dad gave it to me a long time ago and the other cars floorboards are rusted through so that would be a lot more work
