Seat mounts repairs
Any one have pics or cheap reliable repair for fixing where the bolts attach to the body mine rotted with floor board and have to be repaired.
do the new floor boards come with the tabs attached?

Thanks for the reply. One in your picture a fabricated one or is it off a donor looks very clean.
inhave a 91 I can use as a reference to attempt and fabricate my own hopefully there no change between 84 and 91 on design.

That was the original bracket from my car. I had to remove it in order to replace that section of floorpan and then reinstall it. Drill out the spot welds and then plug weld it back in using the drilled holes. Also, trace an outline with a marker before removing it so it goes back exactly where it should and your seat bolts up correctly.
They should be all the same between 82-92 and should be relatively easy to find a rust free one from a donor car. A hardtop car would be the best bet for finding a rust free bracket.
I would not fabricate one. For safety reasons, it's very important the seat mount is as strong as originally designed. You don't want the seat breaking away from the floorboard in an accident.

Thanks for response. I’ll look around I know I have some camaro junkyards around here I’ll have to ask for price would a Flux core 211mp work or should I go with a solid core.

From what I see it's just driver primary working on getting my 91 roadworthy first just looking at ideas would like to get a his and hers setup once I teach my wife how to drive manual
