Outer Door Sills
Hello fellow Third Geners. I have the infamous sagging driver door. It has shaved grooves into the top of side skirt or as i call it the outer door sill. Have replaced pin and adjusted door. What can i do to repair sills or does anybody make Camaro Z28 sill plates that i can just stick over the grooves? Thanx

I don't know what options are available for it, but I have the same problem on my '87 Iroc. I have the pins and stuff just haven't gotten around to fixing it. Not sure if there would be a proper fix for it short of body work and repaint

Re: Outer Door Sills
Body filler and repaint is the option I would go with. If you are just looking to cover it up and look decent, you could do body filler and some type of decal. There isn't very much clearance between the bottom of the door ground effects and the rocker panel ground effects, so I would not want to add anything with any thickness to it.
