Where to buy side mirror glass plastic housing/bezel?

I had my car repainted. Side mirrors were cracked so body guy removed and disposed of glass. He also threw away the plastic housing that mirror adheres to which then snaps into motor housing within side mirror shell. I am having hard time finding replacement plastic housings. I can find plenty of replacement glass but not the plastic housing. Does anybody make these or do i have to get entire side mirror units and pull housings?

I've never found a source for replacement Power Mirror bezels and used are kinda' hard to come by.

Power mirrors come in 2 types,..... 82-84 and 85+. ( I could be wrong by a year or so ! ) The early style Assembly used a white plug and the later years got a black plug. Not only did the plug change, but so did just about everything else as well. Housing, Brackets,& Mirror Bezel are all different and not compatible. ( the motor itself might still OK if "clocked" correctly; not sure about this and the plug still changed anyway ! )

Point is: be sure the power mirrors you buy for parts have the same color plug as your existing mirrors !! That will ensure you get the correct parts from them.

Re: Where to buy side mirror glass plastic housing/bezel?

Thank you for the responses and info on various styles. My body guy luckily still had the old mirrors and backing plates. I got them back and installed yesterday. Odd that no reproduction exists currently. My other option would have been to by a used side mirror to used along with a spare I have. They do make reproduction backing plates for fourth gen camaros. From what I can tell, sizes are very close to each other. Think fourthgen might be little wider. Not sure if they connect to mirror shell same way as thirdgens. Possible those may work.

Be selective if you need to buy new glass,......... It seems that not all glass is the same. I recently had to find a replacement glass for the 88 year pass side power mirror bezel and while searching I found a couple different sizes. The one that fit properly in my mirror bezel was 7 & 3/8" measured diagonally. ( glass PN 20289778 )

Good to hear the body guy found your old parts; that's gonna' save you some time & aggravation !
