Door gap maybe? Something else??? Help
So I have a 1989 formula firebird and it’s my first car. It was from Chicago. Just clocked 92,xxx miles but I bought it with 89,xxx miles. Overal the car is super clean you can see grey paint on floorboard still which makes me think it’s never or very little been winter driven. Btw I pains 6,200 and worked all my life for my first car. Yes literally. But I did notice on the front quarter panels and the door gap Maugham be a little off. At the top of the fender by the A pillar, it looks normal but could be off. Going down to the center of the door the gap is thinner. And the gap by the rocker panel is pinched. No damage from a curb but it’s on both sides. Does anyone has any ideas what this is caused by? Is it a problem I should worry about? I would really really appreciate any help
thanks!

How is the door gap by the quarter panel? Possible the door sags a little? -which would make the gap up front and down low a little tight. If you're at the front of the car, looking down the side, how is the alignment that way? Very common problem is that people jack on the wrong spot, right there by the fender, and it'll bend the fender mounting tabs. This can push the bottom of the fender up, in, out, all depends, but that's very common. It can be tricky, because fixing ONE area often leads to ANOTHER misalignment. -though sometimes it's just a panel in need of a little tweak. Do you have any pictures?

Did you check the bottom of the fende? it gets crushed by people putting jack stands on the mounting bolt area and screws up the fitment

I don;t think these cars were assembled by precision robots. not sure how good the best car to ever roll off the line was as far as details such as panel/door/hood/tailgate alignment. give us a photo of what you are seeing - that may help with the feedback.

pics! You might have to adjust that bottom bolt. I know theres some room for play / movement depending how the fender is aligned to that mounting point.
