Im in the process of restoring a 89 turbo trans am. right now Im working on the front impact bar. I need info on the clips that hold the impact absorber to the impact bar. they are blue. are they original and are they still available? from what I can tell everything is original, so I would asume these are original as well.

 

NAPA Auto Parts has a big book with samples , you might find them there. Also, Auto Body Supply shops.

Ive seen them in in black, bit was hoping to find some blue ones.

 

I work for gmc i used this part # 5973400

 

I'm betting they were black. I've seen over time the black does turn to a blueish color on some of those type of clips.

Check your local parts store HELP/Dorman section.
They should have them there or can order them for you.

 

I bought them online. they are supposed to be gm correct part, but they are not identical. I used them cause they fit perfect.
