Which part is considered the taillight panel, and the taillight assembly?

For the backup light, could you mount a 98+ Trans Am backup light? You would have to cut a whole in the panel for it, but the wiring should already be there and hooked up.

I don't know how hard it would be to wire in the corvette harness, but if you did that, wouldn't all four lights come on at night? Or could you just splice into the existing wire to do that. What do corvettes use for back up lights anyways?

Just my thoughts.

Later,
Jesse

the panel is just the fiberglass panel. The assembly, i'm assuming would be a wiring harness and the lenses. I just bought the panel, and reused my wiring harness, and got lenses elsewhere.

i live in Allentown, PA, so no. I used to live in Staten Island, NY which wasn't too far from Motion, but I'm very far away now.

i'm sure you could put a ta light in there. I don't want to cut my panel up tho. It would be expensive to replace it. I'm gonna cut up my third brake light which has 5 bulbs in it. The outer two will be backup lights that will light up white, and the center 3 will be 3rd brake light. I could splice into existing wire to make all four light up at night. I may do that in the future.

Vettes have backup lights on either side of the license plate. This panel does not have the provisions for that though.

So then...

So then really, All I need is the panel just like you? You didn't purchase the light harness assembly? Because thats a whole, whole lot cheaper for me! So, I only really have to pay $199.99 for the fiberglass panel right? All i would have to do is stick a bulb in the sockets right? when i get it that is. Ok man, tell me some more, lol. Thanks, see ya later!

Xplod, don't forget that you have to get the lenses for the lights too.

some people like it, others hate it.

I'd have to say that most of my friends who thought it was a bad idea before i did it, think it looks great in person. I don't regret it one bit. But I have, and always will build my car for my own personal amusement. I don't care what anyone else thinks.

If you did not care what anyone thought of your ride then you would not be modding the apperance of it.
