Taillights

I'm trying to go for a blacked out taillight not covers
Not a tint job or spray paint but dark on the lights until a turn signal, suddenly pushing the brakes and so forth I'm sorry if it's been asked or already posted my first day and time here

I have a 91 z28 I'm thinking if I do put the covers on or tint it some how I would want to have some really bright leds so you could see them

Re: Taillights

Brightest LEDs you can get. I tested some in Trans Am taillights, and they were blinding in tail mode, even brighter in brake/turn mode. Too bright, IMO, so they should be excellent behind tinted lenses. 1157 available in red, amber and switchback (for front signals with clear lenses); 1156 available in white, amber and red.

the only thing you can do for camaro lights is probably smoke them with tinted clear...

Most states though, that would be illegal. The covers you can pop off, but if you clear them then they would be permanent which may get you in some trouble.

Some guy did a Tesla here and he had to get brand new lights cause he painted them with the clear.

Re: Taillights

definitely check your local laws. I used VHT Nightsahdes with LED bulbs. They look darker in the video for some reason

To me, these look stock. I would not pick them out of a crowd ans say "those have been tinted".

When I did these I wasn't going for a blacked out look, I was trying to go for about the same tint as the Trans Am tail lights, I think I got it close.
