I have pulled my hood release cable out. I need to replace it since the plastic sleeve at the release mechanism under the hood is broken and the cable is frayed. My car is a 92 so it has the yellow lettering on the release handle under the dash. I see that what seems to be available on the internet is either no labeling or white lettering for earlier Camaros. Does anybody know if the after market ones have a screw in plastic release handle that can be removed and swapped with old one in my car? I haven't tried to remove the plastic release handle from my old one yet to see if it unscrews.
