Hang on. Ive had several of these cars and usually when the fenders are sticking out past the front of the doors its because the tabs on the bottom are bent up because someone with a lift lifted it at the pinch weld and not the frame. Sometimes you can gently pull those tabs back down, remove the bolt, loosen the others and make a little bit of adjustment.

There is, 100% absolutely no way that the front fender pinch weld being caved in is causing the door to fit this badly when it's closed;
The very first thing the OP must do is to adjust the door so that this gap is correct, and then adjust the fender to the front of the door gap. If this gap is not adjusted first, no amount of dinkin with the fender is gonna make it right....

it’s weird because the bottom of the door sits flush but the top sticks out like this. Any tips when trying to adjust it?
Adjust the door via a good body shop. It shouldnt be that expensive.
yeah you’re right I’ll get a body shop to look into it. Do u think my door and fenders are separate issues or could it be just caused by my door out of alignment?

My only tip is to adjust the hinges till the door is in alignment at the striker (the area where it shows to be misaligned in the pic I quoted), once the top & bottom are both in line with the body then adjust the fender to the door.

Normally, if the door itself wasn't as cocked as the OP's is, your suggestion of the crushed pinch weld is the #1 reason why the fender/door gap is off
