Hood won’t close!
I just bought and installed a new hood on my 89 RS, the old one was super bent because the previous owner messed it up. When I installed the new hood it will not latch shut. I tried adjusting the bolts on the hood latch to different positions but it won’t help at all. It shuts down nearly all the way, to the point that it appears latched, but it does not stay shut. Both the hood latch and hood release cable are brand new, just installed recently. Any suggestions??? Thank you in advance

Make sure the adjustable bump stops aren't set too high

Check to see if the release lever/cable is all the way forward. Mine hangs up sometimes and I need to push the release lever forward so it will latch.
