Just some screws/nuts. Prolly need to cut/drill the door. They probably take 12v to move the mirror. You could make it work... I'm not sure if it would look right though...

I would hazard to guess that they would work with the rest of the power mirror setup from a thirdgen. You might even get lucky and have all the mounting holes line up. One thing might be the shape of the doors. You may need to sand/grind the bottom of the mirror where it meets the door to the shape of our doors in order to get a good fit, but the plastic gasket should allow for a little bit of imperfection. Sounds like a fun project, give us pics to show us how it turns out!

I actually was thinking of mounting them on the plastic part by the windows. Right above my current mirrors. I guess I should have phrased this correctly. Sorry I know the window doesn't use that whole space(ironically, from someone stealing my radio), so I thought with some drilling, mounting and painting that it might work.

That might work, the guy who made my hood mounted a set of Testrarosa style mirrors there when he installed carbon fiber doorskins. Don't know if you'll be able to use the power part or not though.

the power part is the part that I would be least worried about...

Shouldn't be to disimilar than 3rd gen power mirrors.

Getting them to look right is what I would be concerned about...

It looks to me like the base is too big to fit on the window "triangle". On the door would certainly be do-able.

The problem I see is the wiring, now. If you install them on the little triangle, then you have to run the wires through there too, I am not sure there is room for such an undertaking.

It may be possible though to take the triangle piece, make a bracket and then attach the 4th gen mirrors to it.

Just thinking with my fingers...

I would like to see pics of the finishing product but IMO it just won't look right... it might even be hard to see anything with them since they will be mounted 4 inches above where they "should" be...

I was looking around and the "best" fit I could find were a set of 98 Lotus Esprit mirrors...

unfortunately they crushed the car (yes ! those morons CRUSHED a almost new lotus ! ) before I had a chance to get them

Many junkyards, care less about certain cars, they look at them like sheetmetal, something to be processed. The money they make from selling us parts is Circumstantial. The exception to some of this is The old Junkyards that have things from the 40's. I was at 2 this weekend, absolutely incredible... I saw several old Studibakers, Some Hudsons, One junkyard actually had 3 count them 3 Olds 442 Hoods...

Oh well

It wouldn't work mounting it to the plastic "triangle". When the windows are down, it would wobble so bad it'd probably fall off. Besides, the window would interfere with any screws/wires going through it.

I figured that would come up

I figured that would come up eventually. Actually, your window doesn't fill that entire space. As for support, I'm thinking fourth gen brackets, or something of the like will work fine. Wires and brackets won't be an issue. Getting it to fit well and look good will be an issue. The highly advance computer drawing below shows a red line where the window actually comes up at. I think it'll take the abuse. Especially if someone can ream on it to get the window popped out. Like I said, I'll post pics in a month or so.

Edit: it won't let me attach my picture. Well, go back about an inch or half inch from where your window meets the plastic triangle. That's where your window stops.
