Re: Wheelhouse

You're looking for unibody structure then. Sorry, can't help you there.

Re: Wheelhouse

If you need the metal wheel house then you should post pics of what yours look like, I assume they're rusted. You may be able to find someone
w the sections you need. Hawks may also have some they can cut. It may be worth talking w a skilled fabricator depending on what your goal is.

I agree with this, and the fab work may be cheaper to do a small mini tub at the same time.

Re: Wheelhouse

It's the wheel well housing that the windshield reservoir sits on. The bottom half is gone.
thanks

Re: Wheelhouse

Yeah, that's a pretty common spot. You'll need to find good used panels or just bring it to someone who does that kind of body work. The area where the wheel well and firewall join is a difficult area to work on.

Sorry, I had thought you meant the rear wheelhouse. Your best bet is to find a donor car and cut out what you need.

Re: Wheelhouse

Those are not available from any aftermarket supplier. There are probably a few NOS ones that have been tucked away somewhere and not for sale. Your options are going to be either make patch panels, or cut one off of a donor car.

Those do rot away, but usually when they get that bad, there's a whole lot of other rust elsewhere. I would look very carefully at the rest of the car and evaluate what other rust/rot is present before you start down the road of this repair. Look carefully as the rot may not be obvious on the outside of the car. Front rockers, floorboard/toe boards, front wheelhouse, rear wheelhouses, firewall/cowl, bottom of quarters behind ground effects are all common spots that are hidden.

Re: Wheelhouse

I got a donor one for my car. They are a pain to same from a donor, lots of spot welds.
