Nose job

Was just wondering how difficult it is to replace the front ends on these cars (91 RS). My baby was involved in an accident Saturday morning and the front end is toast. Fortunately my fiancee ( who was driving ) was not seriously injured. Some girl blew a red light and pulled right in front of my car, got it on the left front corner. Appears that everything from the firewall forward is gone. Can't really tell if the frame is bent. Waiting on the insurance company to come and look at it before I start to tear it apart. Thanks for the help. Dave

I just took the front urathane clip off my car. 4 bolts holding the urathane bumper cover on to the fender on each side. 4-6 on the bottom of each side. 4 bolts holding the hood on.(Easy) I have no clue how many hold on the fenders, nor where they are. But I imagine if you get the hood and urathane off you'll see them easily.

Thanks for the info Camaro Hunter. Hopefully get in touch with the insurance agent this week. It was in the low 60's here today. It killed me not to be able to take the tops out and go for a cruise. Anyway, thanks again.

I'm having a pain in the **** time trying to get my nose clip installed. It seems that the headlight buckets are bent in an angle pointing away from where they should mount...even though this nose clip is brand new! It's not OEM, but it should fit fine according to the previous owner.

I'm goign to end up bringing it to a body shop to get it mounted unless I can get some local help ;-) hehe

Sorry to hear that Moto. Hope it works out for ya. Didn't hear back from the insurance company today. I'm dyin to get started on the car. Tried the scene from Christine where he stands in front of the battered car and says "Show me", but it didn't work. Oh well.

I took my nose out on saturday, I was in a parking grage in dayton, oh. When I went to leave my little brother (19 years old) got in the back seat and was screwing around kneeing the back of my seat. While backing out I turned to yell at him, at the same time I forgot about the cement post I parked next too. Turned right into to it.

Anybody now where I can get an oem front bumper cover, head lgiht bar, front groundfx, and passanger fender for cheep. They will be for my 1991 B4C. I live in Ohio and would like to find the parts local so that I can look at them first.

Ladderman, if everything structural from the firewall forward needs to be replaced, then unfortunately your vehicle is almost certainly a total. After they total it, buy the car back from the insurance company, buy another nice thirdgen, and use any good parts off of yours that you need, and sell the rest on eBay.

Thanks for the tip, Blue. I really started considering that option after I talked to my insurance agent and was told that I probably would never be able to get any more than the basic on it if it has a salvage title. The adjuster was supposed to come by and check the car today. Haven't heard anything. It is amazing how aggravating insurance can be. Almost had a fight with the fiancee yesterday. She wanted to use some of the insurance money and put toward the wedding, then repay myself. I told her that money was to repair or replace the Camaro. Nothing else was said, but probably have not heard the end of that.
