IROC Colors
I came across a GM promo booklet for 85 Camaros. I have a silver IROC (the only other I've ever seen is its twin, belonging to Jono in Canada). I wasn't to surprised then to discover that in 85 only four colors were offered on the IROC: silver met., black, yellow, and red. Since there were only 21,000 odd IROC that year, I can imagine that silver and yellow are somewhat rare.

Blue502,
After looking at the promo again, I stand corrected.
MrsLotta,
I've seen some of the production numbers. According to the White Book, there were 11,684 silver cars, but I suspect that no one knows how many of those were actually IROCs (There were only 4,599 yellow Camaros, which would make those IROCs even rarer). If you can add anything, so much the better.

As a side note, Silver wasn't an IROC color for '86, which makes your '85 more unique. The '86 Colors were: White, Black, Bright Blue Metallic, Yellow, Bright Red, and Dark Red Metallic. Does your silver IROC have a red interior and exterior stripes/logo? I really like that combo.
Hey I found someone in Calgary Alberta Canada that has an 85 silver IROC as well. http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/56424

Jono,
Well, cool, apparently there are at least three of us!
Blue,
The original interior was solid black. I've since recovered with black and gray-black tweed, both materials from latter day Camaros.

I looked at the site linked above and they stole my IROC-Z logo. I tell ya!!!! They could've at least changed the color. I also saw some guy selling a two tone 86 Olds 442 and he used pictures from my website to advertise his car. Some people!
Oldsmobiles and Camaros make life almost perfect. Wouldn't you agree Scott?
People stealing my pics is one of the main reasons why I'm moving my website to flash. All of the pics on my site are watermarked, and I have a program that searches the web looking for that watermark. Amazing how many places I've found my pics. Even found a couple of sites over the years where someone was posting pics of my car and claiming that it was their car. Needless to say I shut them down immediately.

I guess it's time for me to move the IROC-Z behind the car so it will be more difficult to clear the car from around it! I guess I really don't mind people using stuff that I spent alot of time to create, but an email asking if they can use it would be nice.
