gimme some sugestions on what to do with my lame interior

wutcha think guys? gimme some suggestions on what you think i should do with my interior..im getting sick of the boring *** stock look...ive thought about ripping all the stock gauges out...and making a custom plate...outta carbon fiber or something..to house a 5 inch speedo and tach by autometer..the ultra lite series..and using there matching 2 1/16th smaler gauges for water temp..oil pressure etc etc. and possibly making some kind of custom door panels? and installing a system that somewhat looks stock..but not to boring lol....gimme some suggestions..idea's you might have..comments on what it looks like now..anything is apreciated..thankz guys!

hehehe, funny ****z man.

How about some new carpet? Perhapps replace your door panels and all that yellow (looks like it) or tan with grey and black. Find yourself a nice set of fourth gen seats.

An A-Pillar gauge pod, maybe an B&M mega shifter.

Just a few ideas

How about some kick panel speakers? White Face gauges? Neons under the dash? A new steering wheel?

Mark 406, what year IS that car anyway. I notice you have the 82-84 dash pad, a 85+ center console to list a few...

Well I would suggest just turning into a 4th gen int.......grey or black carpet.....gauges there are a variety of.....nothing personal but ur int. does look like its in poor condition also definatley a Grant GT steering wheel ...those stock ones feel like ur driving a rig! Leather or good carpet for seats ....if u like..some form of lights in the dash or on the side of the cieling(sp)

I would definitely do the 4th gen seat swap (leather or cloth, whatever you prefer - they're both way better than 3rd gen seats and light years better than what you currently have) After that, the custom gauges sound great, as would an all new console and dash from a 4th gen (courtesy of the local junkyard). Oh, and when you have the seats out, the carpet has to go and replace it. So what I'm basically saying is, find a low-miles 4th gen that's been totalled, rob it of all its good interior parts, buy some new thirdgen carpet from one of the companies that advertises on this site, do your autometer thing and voila, your interior is 1 million times better.

I just wnated tho through this in, getting and adding forth gen stuff is great, but lets not go over baord here.

All that ****z cost money. If your on a budget, and thinking realistically, new carpet and seat covers

Mark, pull the interior out of your 2002 TransAm, park it on a side road, call the police and your insurance company. Make sure you park it someplace where the cops can find it, but no one will mess with it further. Voila... new interior in your '82

Wow that's a lotta yellow. I'd probably start with the carpet and seats, too. Stock can be boring, but if a stock interior is super clean, it can still get a lot of comments.

If you change your carpet, I would recommend BLACK definately, It goes with everything.

I would also recommend scouring the junkyards for the interior panels for black too, just to match.

well it looks like i must be the only one, but i think the tan carpet with the black seats and dash looks absolutely killer. i think it looks very exotic. i seem to recall many older ferraris and the likes having such color schemes. and it is different. we all have black or grey. be different. turn heads, get looks my advice: i love mods, just as long as you keep them tasteful.

Well, 55 in a 20 is still a little too far over the limit for a cop to let ya go

Anyway, I'm goin with the new black carpet, seats, and door panels. That would really clean it up.
