Royal Blue Interior?????????????

Got a Camaro White Book and a Firebird Red Book yesterday and I noticed a few things.

One thing was the 82-84 had the option of the interoir being in Royal Blue. WTF? Does anybody have pics of this interoir?

I am very curious to see how this looks

I have heard the blue was used to '86. I think they changed the name after '84 but the color is supposed to be the same. One of my cars has the exact interior you are talking about. I love the color myself. It is my favorite interior color of all 3rd gen interiors I have seen. I have only found one problem. After a million miles the interior is faded and a little rough. If it looked anything like it would have when it was new I would send you a picture. I pretty much figure the color is lost forever. Finding replacement parts that aren't in as bad of shape or worse is impossible. I guess you could try painting it but it is questionable to begin with. Then to paint over plastic that is falling apart, waste of time. I made a few calls to different places trying to locate the '82-'84 blue interior pieces. Mostly I just got laughed at. I might as well had been calling for an original Corvette L-88 427.

find me one too!!!!!! (D@mn that would be nice)

(If you cant tell from my name, i want a '69 Vette w/ a 427, but i would defiantly will have to settle w/ just a L88 Scoop, besides, if memory serves me right, only 2 L88 were produced in '69)

Anyways:
Do you have any pics of your interoir anyways?

You can go to the link in my sig to see pictures of my 84. I think there are still pictures of the interior there. It has been reupholstered, but is very close to original.

Nope, '84 was the last year for the blue interior. '85 & '86 colors: black, copper, gray, red, saddle.

Take that up with TA Creations. They were the ones that said it was used to '86. I would assume they were drawing from experience. Maybe they were looking at a faded gray that looked blue. Oh well, just means it is that much harder to locate.

This is an awsome color, d@mnit halfway through a color change to black, so here is my plan, whatch think?

Blue:
Carpet
Sail Panels
Sunvisors
Re-upholster upper door panels in blue
Re-upholster seats with blue cups and black leather outsides

Black:
Headliner
Carpeted Luggage trim
Floor Mats
Dash Mat
Kick Panels
Sill Plates

i got a complete set of camaro blue int plastic pannels that came out of my 83.. they kinda look like crap tho (the blue paint is peeling and the black is showing thru in alot of places).. i personally dont like it.. but maybe its just cuz the seats are vynal and are starting to show there age.. i wouldnt mind seeing a int like mine was stock thats been kept up over the years..
