Deluxe Interior package? (carpeted panels)
What models came with the partially carpeted trunk panels? Was it called the Deluxe interior package or is my memory playing tricks on me?
I'm thinking about upgrading to the carpeted panels from my torn up, chalky, sunbleached solid plastic interior panels (esp. trunk). Do the carpeted panels seem to hold up any better to the elements and general wear-and-tear or do you think my chances of finding a set in nice (unscratched/unbleached), presentable condition is just as slim as finding a nice, solid plastic set? My restoration is going well and I'm starting to move on to the interior issues. Thanks in advance for your help/advice!
P.S. If you or someone you know has a nice set of panels they would consider parting with, please let me know.

The Paddock sells the carpet pieces all cut to size. All you have to do is glue them in place. I have never ordered anything from them, so I don't know about the quality, shipping times, etc. Maybe someone else has used them and knows.

Hope this helps.

I have a set of charcoal gray carpeted ones from a Berlinetta. They are in pretty good shape. There are a few small cracks, but they aren't noticeable. What color is your interior? We have some pics. I will try to send them to you if you are interesed.

Mine had the carpeted panels also, but when we re-upholstered the interior we took the carpet off and replaced it with the same material the seats were done in. It was a lot easier to form and cut and personally I think it looks a little better.

You can do it yourself for like 25.00 bucks. Get the carpet at an auto parts store and some good 3m adhesive. Cut out the pieces alittle larger than the area you want to cover. Glue and apply, with alittle forming on rounded areas. Get a sharp exato knife and lightly trim away excess. Even if you onver spray the glue it will rub right off. Took me about 1hour and looks great. Looks completely factory.

Charcoal Custom Cloth Interior
Here's the interior from the Berlinetta I wrecked in December; It's the Charcoal color from an 84. The aftermarket stuff and custom creations are cool - but there is nothing like the factory set-up ! This set is in near mint shape and will be for sale very soon........
