The 1LE front brake hose mounts to the stock brake hose braket location.
I have plenty of pictures of this on my CD.

Here's mine after during my upgrade. I still haven't attached it to the strut yet, but I do think it will reach. These are Earl's lines.

The brake hose attaches to the lower portion of the strut onto a bracket which is on every 3rdgen Fbody car. The original GM rubber hoses are retaind in the bracket with a small clip. The aftermarket stainless steel braided hoses are retained with a special nut and washer that is made onto the hose, and which the hose passes through.
If you have replaced your struts during your upgrade? Then you will need to get these brackets from your old struts.

If the hoses are anything like the Russell lines, they will fit. With my Russell lines I literally had to pull them into place to get them into the bracket. This put some tension on the fitting at the caliper, but it hasn't been a problem.
Once I complete my 1LE upgrade I'll be using the Goodridge steel braided lines.

I agree. You pretty much have to "pull" them to get them in there. I don't really like that but I guess that beats having your hose flying all over the place up there. I have Russel lines on the front of my RS and they were very tight after I finally got them in the bracket.

Ed, in that picture your hose is on wrong. The fitting at the caliper should be flipped 180* so it comes off the caliper and goes toward the spindle. That should make it easier to fit into the bracket and will naturally keep it away from the rotating tire. If you left it the way you have it, it would rub on the tire and it should be the other direction.

I used GM hoses and they fit fine. and yes they do go towards the inside to be "tucked" it. wouldn't want to see my buddy ed miller lose his brakes.
I also looked at a raybestos replacement hose, and they fit just like GM.
and yes I have found you still need good pads to make them 1LE brakes work properly. otherwise they suck just like regular brakes.
