Here's a pic of the caliper/carriers, brackets, hardware, and 1x9.5" front wheel. Just gotta go get rotors and pads now!

I'll give you $10 for that twenty.
But anyway the brakes and wheel do look very cool.

Where did you buy the adapter plates from and how much were they?

Well, i paid $400 for the caliper/carrier assemblies, adapter brackets, and hardware. The brackets usually go for about $125 from http://82lt1.cz28.com/brakes/brakes.html

The shipping was $25, and the assemblies were complete down to the banjo bolts and copper crush washers. Probably could have saved a few bucks and picked up the assemblies myself, but I particularly didn't want to mess with it.

How much will/did the whole conversion end up costing you? My stock brakes are looking pretty small now with bigger wheels.

There's no complete kit for C5 brakes. You need to buy all the parts individually. Most of the parts are factory GM parts. The only custom parts needed are the caliper brackets, hubs, and modified spindles. Look at the link posted earlier for everything you need to know.

Here's the list of parts that I already have or are on the way:

ZO6 calipers
C5 caliper carriers
caliper hardware
Hawk brake pads
Power Slot rotors
Caliper adapter brackets by Todd Williams
Earl's stainless braided brake lines

I'll also be modifying two spare spindles and turning two old rotors down for the hubs. After everything is done, the total setup will have cost about $850. Keep in mind these are all new parts though. If you can find used calipers, hardware, etc. it will cost less. I've heard of people getting some good deals on used C5 brake setups. You just need to look around. Opting to not get the braided lines will take about $100 more off the cost. I'll be posting some pics of my setup when I get all the parts in.

Are you going to modify the spindles and the hub yourself??

I have access to a lathe, milling machine, etc so I'm doing the modifications myself. I can't see a machine shop charging much to machine the hubs though and the spindles can be modified with a hacksaw and power drill if you don't have access to a drill press.

Yeah, i'll have around 600 in the conversion myself, as i'm going with Autozone rotors for around $30 a piece, where as steve listed powerslot rotors that run around $100. I'll actually go with those eventually, as i prefer a plated rotor so they don't rust.
That's with modifying the spindles myself and getting someone with a lathe to cut the rotors.

Will the C5 front brake conversion fit under the 16" IROC wheels? Thanks.

Nevermind my last question as I just found out that they will not fit inside of my wheels without grinding I guess.

Hey! I just got my C5 brakets too. I'll be picking up the rotors today. Where did you get the abutment pieces? I was quoted 45.00 each at the local chevy dealer.
