The biggest brakes you can fit inside the stock 16" wheels are the 13" C4 HDs or the 13" kit Spohn offers. Both setups use a 13" x 1.1" rotor. Vsixtoy also made a 13" kit using Wilwood calipers and all custom stuff but that's probably more work than you're willing to put in to making a setup. My 13" C4 HDs are the same brakes as the Baer Tracks but they do fit stock Iroc and '91-92 16" alloy wheels. LS1s are 12" x 1.25" and will also fit the stock wheels. C5s will not fit. Unless you want show car looking brakes, I don't recommend Baer or SSBC as you can get the same brakes for around $500 less by going with the C4s or LS1s.
Let me know if you need any pics of brake setups, I have many, and click the link in my sig to see a few more.

okay so I take it C4HD's are better than LS1's?
Also what brakes should I look for and parts do I need to convert rear drums to disc brakes?

It's all a matter of opinion but IMO, yes, I do prefer the HDs over the LS1s. As for the rear brakes, you can install the '89-97 "LT1" style PBRs or the '98-02 LS1 style rear brakes. For your application I recommend the '89-97 style as that's plenty of brake for you and they will be an easier install.

dont buy baer unless you have money to spend, i spent 600 on my z06 brakes and their awesome . Get the z06 calipers and use the rest of the ls1 stuff. Then it looks a little better but it says vette on it .
these are 13inch brakes behind 18's .

Why do you feel LS1s are harder to install?

Thanx James, that was very informative. I don't suppose anyone here sells a good affordable kit do they?
