lt1 brakes
Will lt1 front brakes fit under the stock 15" wheel? I'm thinking of doing an lt1 brake swap all the way around if they fit.

They're just like the ones on your car so why install them?

No..they are like the 1LE setup, aren't they? If you don't have the 1LE setup, it may not be a bad idea if you can get everything for free, do the work yourself, and have a goal of fitting them under a 15" rim.

He did say "LT1 fronts", not the rears and he didn't say LS1 so that tells me he wants the single piston LT1 brakes. And they aren't like 1LEs....

I thought ls1 where bigger and had no chance of fitting under a 15" wheel. I all ready have the lt1 calipers. I don't have 1le brakes.

They won't bolt right in on your spindles so you'll have to to some fab work to even get them on. And they're very similar to the single piston brakes you have now so IMO it's not really worth it.

Jump up to 16" rims and get some LS1, C4, or C4HD brakes, or jump to 17" rims and get the C5 brakes.

The thing is I don’t have the money for bigger rims and I hope to be trapping at 110 ish this spring and I don’t know if the drums are up for that. How about lt1 rears for now and when I get the money c5 rims and front brakes would that get the job done.

Is there a difference between the 3rd gen and lt1 style rear discs, besides the cables?
Do 15" wheels fit on the lt1 rear discs?
