get the C4 vette kit offered by Ebmiller88
his kit is just like the baer's but cheaper. 675 or so for the kit
and you get everything to bolt it on
comes with C4 calipers and 12 inch rotors.
modded spindles and brackets.
everything you need and it performs
i will be goin with with setup some time
also offers a Zr1/ c4 HD setup with bigger calipers and 13 inch rotors that are thicker as well. abit more money but still cheaper than any other company offers

This all depends on what size wheels you run. 17"s or larger, C5s hands down. 13" C4 HDs will fit stock 16" Iroc and Z28 wheels, and the 12" C4s will fit inside 15" wheels.

Yep...new C6 ZO6 brakes are 14". I'm still trying to get my hands on a used set but I may just go with new ones. These will probably force 18" wheels at least.
I've also looked into custom 14" rotors and then just piecing the rest of it together but honestly, it's not worth it. Too much brake for not enough car IMO. The difference in 13" and 14" performance won't justify the cost.

New C6 brakes or new C6 Z06? If you did mean Z06, might be hard to get a used set until they are actually released..

Sorry, I misspoke. The new C6s have 13.4" brakes, not 14". Still some big *** brakes. I just read the ZO6 write up in the May '05 GMHTP. Here's the brakes the ZO6 will have:
" 14" cross drilled front disc brakes with 6 piston calipers, 13.4" cross drilled rear rotors with 4 piston calipers."

What about me? What can I fit for the front under my '88 16" GTA wheels. I want to keep the stock wheels and the stock "look", but mod everything else. I am using a 9" in the rear with lt1 brakes, but need a front solution. I would like something slotted or crossdrilled if possible.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Biggest you can fit in a GTA wheel is a 12" LS1 setup, and you'll need a spacer under the wheel also. You can also run a 12" C4 setup, Mongoose runs those on his Formy.

A LS1 caliper is a LS1 caliper, "aftermarket" ones would simply be rebuilt. You can always get brand new ones if you feel you need to. I find that a used set is usually in great shape since they're not that old, then I just rebuild them to ensure they are up to snuff.

I pieced my C4HD setup together for under $325. I got the rotors for the price of shipping, the calipers and pads for like $50 or something, and the rest of it from Ed for $260 or something, don't remember how much I spent on each individual item, but I know it was $340, but I sold some extra parts that someone included (rear pads with the calipers/front pads) for $25, so I was at $315, and then I just spent $6 the other day on the banjo bolts I needed.
Everything is used, the calipers should be good, I re-assembled them myself. I'll need to get new pads, but not bad for ~$325. I plan on installing the kit tomorrow to help fill up my 17" rims
