clicking

I have a 1985 firebird trans am with 4 wheel disks and almost every time i brake i can hear this loud click. I also had a 85' camaro that did the same thing but i can't seem to find out what it is or where it is coming from. The noise seems to be coming from the front disks but i'm not sure. I'm worred one day my brakes will just give out on me and well, that would suck. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this clicking, do i need to change my brake pads, thanks, Alex.

Could it be a brake pad moving in the caliper?

Mark.
