brake lines
this weekend I was changing my fuel filter and my rusty old fuel line broke so I bought a 1' fuel line replacement peace but when I did that the brake line got moved a little when I was putting in my fuel line. my brake line that go's from front to rear got a big leak. now I need to know if I need the replace the hole front to rear line or patch it or is there a partial replacement thing like I used on my fuel line. Here’s a pic of where it broke. thanks for the help!

Wow...rust. Napa carries replacement pre flared lines that you can bend to the shape you need. For a custom line, call Fine Lines Inc. (www.finelinesinc.com) and you can get prebent lines what will install in a snap. With all that rust, replace all your lines.

Quick fix= Napa lines, but these are the brakes so take your time and make sure you do it right, not being able to stop would suck.

Same thing happened to me.. I tried a few weeks ago to get it off and figured i'd let it soak a bit, did no good, that line is stuck together, and it started leaking, then stopped, etc. Yestarday I gave it one last crack but the brake fluid started squirting out at that point.. I just got mine in from fine lines and I got a stainless steel, but it took them almost THREE WEEKS to get it here.. I'm eventually going to replace my fuel lines with stainless also, but I just don't have an extra $300 lying around for that right now.

Eeeewww... RUST!!! Thank *** I live in the south!!
TIP - Go to a good electronics supply store and buy some 1/4" MARINE grade shrink tubing in a 25' roll. Slip this on the new lines, shrink it, and you'll have water-proof (rust-proof) lines that also are protected from debris impacts.
