1le proportioning valve question

When ordering a new valve from gm does it come with the mounting bracket?
It looks like you can't remove the bracket on the ones I've seen.

ALmost ready to do a c4 upgrade from ED. He has mentioned on several posts to use the 1LE proportioning /combo valve. I have read the thread pitch changed mid year '89 which is what I have ?
So there would be two valves, one early '89 and down and one late '89 and up. I don't trust GM as far as production dates and what was installed that way, how would you know which one you had by looking ? Also any part numbers would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill E.

I just got screwed by GM's mid year change on my 89 IROC, anyone need a late 89-92 prop valve? I am doing a C4-HD upgrade and I purchased the 1LE valve for late 89-92 and it's the wrong valve. The 82 - early 89 cars have a much finer pitch thread on the tube nuts then the late 89-92 cars. You can use a thread pitch gauge that come in most tap and die sets or you can buy them for a few bucks. The 82 - early 89 cars had a finer thread pitch of 1.0 and the late 89 - 92 cars had a more coarse thread pitch of 1.5.

Here are the part numbers:
14089496 1989 1st design: M1.0 tube nut threads (For 1982 - early 1989 applications)
10164112 1989 2nd design: M1.5 tube nut threads (Late 1989 - 1992)
