No.. I have owned two of these 5.7 ttop cars and two ls1 cars and I will ALWAYS have the IROC around...

My goal was to get a license plate for my ta that says (MYSLOCAR) and w/the install, rear upgrade, trans and all the other crap I did w/the IROC it happened.. In fact I had my wife drive it about two months ago.. from a roll ( I drove the TA --6 speed) of about 25-30 mph she pulled about 2 car lengths on me instantly... That TA pulls hard in 2nd/3rd but if you hook the IROC up it will go.. I have only run it once w/ the blower install and couldn't get better than 13.30's but that was VERY traction limited.... I am sure it will run mid/high 12's and I haven't had the TA any faster than 13.30 on the track since I bought it new so...
The IROC is faster and much more fun to tear around in....

I am jealous, one of each, nice. I currently have a '89 GTA with
9k on it and a 305 challenged '87 TA with 38k. I drove a new '98
but couldn't get past the body style, loved the power. The '89 needs a cam and heads, etc as that is the way I have decided to go with it instead of the blower. Also needs one of ED'S front C4 brake upgrades if I ever get organized on it. Old school looks with up to date power, hell yeah.....sleeper......they'll never know what happened .
