noob redoing rear end, broken brake bits

In the process of 'restoring' my car, I removed the rear end, and everything else back there.

Now i'm getting to the dreaded point of putting it back together. yikes.

Anyway, there are a few bits I broke, and need to buy new parts, but I don't know what they're called, so I have a hard time finding/buying them

Car is in left side bar, has rear discs, and dealership recently re-did rear e-brake setup, if that matters.

So, some parts are:

1) little t-block on rear axle. I'm pretty sure that's completely trashed. Funny 'bolt' that holds that down as well.. (banjo?)

2) from that t-block, there is a rubber line that goes to the body of the car.

3) that connects to something, which is bolted to the car. Funny c-clip held that in place.

These 3 parts (along with probably others that i'll remember soon), were mangled beyond reckognition in the process of removal, and I don't know what they're called. Any names, or part numbers would be very helpful. Thanks!

PS. Pictures of bits can be provided.
(Edited for clarity)

Pictures needed, or are these difficult parts?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I really can't search for a part, when I don't know what it is...?

Most of this was rusted, so when removing the gas tank/rear axle I had to cut a lot of things off.

I'll post some snap shots tonight.

Seems like you're just describing the hard axle brake lines and the flex line from the chassis, it's bolt, and nothing special. Pics would help tho...

yea, nothing special (to you), but when I try and describe them, or say: 'ya know, the standard brake line thread size', the parts stores tell me there's all kinds of sizes, etc. etc... So any sizes, or info would be helpful here, like I said, i've never had to mess with brake lines so...

1) K, so here's the pic of the t-block.
t-block
The hard line on the passenger side is pretty seized into the block, i'll give it another try, but I think i'll end up cutting it off at the threads on the hard line. So i'll need to buy a new 'end', and try to flare it on the hard line, and make do with the hard line being 1" shorter or so. What fitting do I buy there?

2)Also, you've probably noticed I had to cut that rubber line, which appears to part of the t-block. So I need a new t-block with rubber hose, and whatever end is on the other side of the rubber line. Is this a part I have to assemble, or can I buy this as one piece?

rubber line, 2nd piece

So there's the other half of the rubber line. The metal end of it, I had to cut off from the car, so the car side of the hard line looks like this:
car side

So I need 2 of the threaded brake line fittings (passenger side hard line, and hard line on car), and one t-block with rubber line, and a flaring tool to put on the threaded fittings.
Pardon my confusion, it was about 4 months ago that I removed the rear axle, so my memory is a bit fuzzy now...

Thanks for any help you guys can contribute!

oh yea, and if anyone has a picture of where the rubber flex line goes to the car body, that'd be great. I just want to double check the orientation.

OK then, let's point you to some info. First off, look at James' thread for some good pics of a rearend restoration:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hlight=caliper

Next, look at my album on my rearend restoration, I have good pics of how all the lines and hoses are connected:

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tarami...er72/my_photos

These should give you plenty of pics on what you need to replace. If you need all new lines, let me know. There's no use trying to reinstall old or rusted lines like you have, it's not worth the trouble to make them work if they're in poor condition. I have both the hard lines for the axle and braided flex lines if you'd like to go that route, they'd be much better than stock rubber ones and will cost you about the same. I also have extra "T" fitting bolts and the clips you are talking about.

hmm, i'd rather not spend any extra cash on this then I absolutely have to, I've already dumped $1000 into the rear end, and I still need to have cash for the motor... So i'd rather not buy new hard lines unless I break them in the install... pretty good chance of that anyway...

You have these parts? stockpiling, or do you have a store or something?

Alright, well if I just wanted the t-block with flex hose (is it supposed to be permanently attached to it?), braided or whatever, what would that run? (from you, or otherwise?)

Then can you tell me what the size is for the 2 fittings i'll need to buy? I assume I can buy two of these, chop my hard lines (passenger side on axle, and hard line on car), and put on a new fitting and flare it up?

Thanks!

"T" line, braided:

You'll need a metric bubble flare, don't know what size it is really. Napa will have them.

Yes, I have all these parts plus a whole lot more..

Thanks!

I'd like to get one of those locally, as with border charges i'd be looking ~$60 and 3 weeks or so.... Care to share a P/N? If I can't find it easily i'd buy one from ya....

k, i'll check with napa, thanks!

k, found all I need, thanks for the info.

Turns out it was an inverted flare, 3/16".
I bought some hard lines for the axle, since they were only $5 each! the t-block with line was $40, and I got a flaring tool to fix the end of the hard line on the car, so I can mate it to the hose end of the t-block.
