will a 4th gen master AND booster swap right into our cars

My 175K miles brake system is in need of updates and I was considering the 4th gen setup but need to know if the booster wil work or not. I know there are guys running the master and would like some feedback as far as what "mod" work needs tobe done if any to get this to work. I am about to swap in some Z06 front brakes and I have already swapped out my drum rear in favor of a 4th gen (LT1) disc rear. My next concern is the prop. valve.

I would be interested as well, as I just put 94 rear disks on my 89 and I'm still having troubles with the fronts locking up before the rears. What are the advantages to going with the 4th gen master???

I will say I don't know if the booster will fit, but the bolt pattern is the same between the two and the pedal hookup is the same between the two, so stands to reason it should fit right in.

It worked for me ('02 booster/master cylinder), but I can't remember if there were any modifications needed (maybe a little grinding on the firewall), and I won't be around the car for another few months to look and see.

Also, I don't know what the advantages of a 4th gen booster/master cylinder are; I just did it because I wanted to see if it would work.

The boot around the operating rod is differant and won't fit the hole in the firewall. If you trim the boot or the firewall it will fit. The master cylinder will bolt right in place of the thirdgen one. I just used my stock booster and a 4th gen master. However the lines from the master to the proportiong valve didn't fit right so I had to get new lines made.

here's a pic of the proportiong valve and master. What I did was bolt the two together and send it to classic tube and ask them to make lines. I got stainless lines and it was about $30-$35.

would you have a pic of this done yet and was it worth the work?
Also how long are those lines ordering flexible ones would be easier on me.

I'm in the process of doing this swap. The break booster will not fit without modification to the firewall. So far I've made a template and will start filing on the firewall as soon as I pull back the carpet (my car is already completely apart). I'm going to try and bend the lines myself, and cut the current proprtioning valve in half then attach an aftermarket porportioning valve for the rears. I'm sure there are many people ot there who have done this, or something similar. Will let you guys know how it goes.

I got mine all good! I put a wilwood prop valve in and now the car stops HELLA fast. From 35mph it will stop in about 2 car lengths!
