Will 13" C4 HD's fit behind Ronal R15's?

I've searched and found that some 13" brake kits will not fit Ronals. Does anyone have 13" C4HD brakes and Ronal R-15s or know someone that has them?

Thanks

From my own car I have the Baer sport system that has 12in rotors and pbr calipers with r15s.. I can barely squeeze my index finger between the outside of the caliper and the rim, add the extra width of a 13in rotor and the caliper and I would say the fit is a no go.

12" LS1 front brakes fit 16" Iroc and Z28 wheels, and 16" Formula wheels; They'll clear 16" GTA crosslace wheels WITH a spacer between the wheel and hub other wise the caliper will hit the back of the spokes (See LS1 thread in FAQ);

12" C4s will fit most 15" wheels and larger, IE 15" 5 star alloys;
12" 1LEs will fit some 15" wheels and all larger sizes.

Fitting 13inch rotors and PBRs will be seriously close with the Ronals if it fits at all, perhaps a bit of grinder work, even closer with some of the thicker calipers... Like I mentioned above my 12inch Baer setup barely lets me squeeze my index finger in between caliper and rim, there may be room I would love for someone actually running that setup to post a pic..

Now that is with PBR caliper.. If I had a choice again I would go for Ebmillers 4piston 13inch wilwood setup that would clear and cost less than my baers did...He just wasn't around when I bought them.

Cool, thanks for the pics!

I love the R15s but sometimes I wish they showed just a bit more brake!

How much clearance is there between the caliper and the rim?

I haven't put mine on yet. I tried to mock it up but i had no way of holding the caliper to where it supposed to go and didnt have a spare spindle to use. Dont want thru go thru all the work pulling the 1LEs off to find out the 13's dont clear the Ronals. Is that the bracket from Ed? Maybe I'll get off my duff since it looks like it will fit, just got to move the stickie wheel weights out of the way. You figure more or less clearance with the Grand Sport calipers? Thats what I have.

Thanks!

Yes, the ed miller 13 willwood set up will clear the Ronals with the spacer provided by Ronal.

It also clears stock 91 16 in wheels with no spacer.

Ed, for the time I save you by this post get back to me on some brakes.
