question for ne 1 that knows. (not sure if this is the right place)
I was wondering if there is any way to just modify the front hubs when doing the ls1 brake setup to use the ls1 wheels also without spacers also same question on the rear when doing ls1 brakes on the rear with a ford 9" (anyone done the brake swap itself I would appreciate the help.) Thanks

nope not possible unless you can extend the hubs out 2 inches. and the rear your screwed unless you went with a 4th gen rear. sorry to say but adapters are the only way.

yes, get a rear end designed for a 4th gen. all the mounting points are the same, its just wider
i was looking at putting the rear ls1 stuff i have on my moser housing, but it entailed some machining to the backing plate, and then i wasnt sure if the axle length wouldve even worked, so i bought an aftermarket kit

Yes you still need spacers in the front, no way around it..the track widths are different so you need them. If you want to get new wheels with the added offset you'll need you can do that too.
As for the rearend, call them..it will need to be the width of a 4th gen rear.

that rear end will work. it has a spool, which is why it is pretty cheap. not too good for alot of street use or cornering imo

not worried about the spool I will probably just call them up and either get dimensions and if they can supply the brackets or just get the housing. detroit locker for me. Is there anyplace that sells the z06 17x9.5 rims with custom offset?

maybe contact moser and eliminate the middle man, but his prices seem pretty good. also look up quick performance in gilbert, ia. theyre who i got my rear end from, it was 23xx, but it has lots of bells and whistles
the only rims i know of that fit a 3rd gen that are 4th gen style are the zr1 style rims that slp sells, i think theyre only 8" wide though

thanks ed. may be getting brake kit from you here before too long still not sure on how I want the rear though would it be hard to do ls1's on a ford 9"? plus not sure if I want to go to 4th gen rims or not either may just do 18" irocs instead.
