crack in the calaper

i just put my new rearend and gear in my car like 4 days ago. and my driverside front brakes are bad. i think that it is just a pad but when i took my wheel off to check i found a little crack in my calaper. it wasnt very deep because i couldnt get my fingernails through its. is it bad that there is a crack in my calaper?

Play it safe and just replace them. Remanned calipers are dirt cheap.
