whistling coming from brakes?

this is probably a very novice question to ask but instaed of investigating the problem by taking things apart, ill just ask before. when I drive down the road, wet or dry, I hear a whistling, churping what ever you want to call it. at all speeds it can be heard and it has to do with the brakes cuz it stops when i press the brake pedal in. driving is not affected and everything works fine, BUT THE WHISTLING MUST STOP, its driving me nuts. i had the wheels rotated (not for this reason) and it still continues. anybody know the remedy? oh and all the brakes are new too, disc and drums ( it think its from the drums).

Welcome to the world of crappy design factory 3rd gen brake calipers. Its the pads rattling around inside the calipers. Bend the ear tabs down onto the calipers to take up slack, but in time they will just heat up and loosen again.
I changed my entire setup jsut because of dealing with this inherent defect for so many years and so many different parts trying to overcome the noise.

Now- My new setup "Whirls" when coming down hard (curve slotted rotors- big ones I might add). SO loud you can here it standing nearby as the car passes. A good noise though- sounds very trick like somewhat the car sounds with a turbo boost noise would sound cool.
