Brakes don't work until warm
I just replaced rotors, calipers, hoses, pads (Bendix Titanium), and the master cylinder. When I first drive the car, the brakes barely work and feel really weak (can't come close to lockup). After driving around for awhile and using the brakes, then they work ok and I can lock up the wheels.
What could be causing this? I thought about the booster, but I can pump up the pedal two or three times with the car off until it's hard, and then when I start the engine it goes down, so I think the vacuum is okay. Do you guys have any suggestions? It's pretty dangerous when I first start driving.
Thanks,
Chris

Well, I haven't gotten any responses here and I can't find anything by searching - seems like most people have problems when the brakes are hot, not when they're cold.
I guess I should try a different set of pads, and see if that makes a difference, I can't imagine what else it could be. Anyone reccomend pads that stop good cold? Hawk's HPS maybe?

I would say you need to try a softer pad. These are normally the cheapest ones you can buy. SOunds like you've got some really hard ones on there. Some cars it makes a big difference on. If you were going to do alot of high speed driving, then the harder pads would be better- like ceramics. That's what I use on my 87. but it sees track time as well . I first used really soft cheap pads on it. these stopped great around town.......then I went to Watkins glen with it, and after about 2 laps my wonderful pads were about melted........the car would not stop...with the ceramic pads , it takes a little more effort when they are cold, but they are super when hot.......try some differnet pads and let me know how it works out.
